Painted during the spring, inspired by the cherry blossoms, nihonga painting, and shin-hanga prints. So many people I know struggled in this pandemic; it would give me the utmost fulfillment if those of you who have can find some inner peace by viewing it. If you look closely at the print on her kimono, you’ll notice subtle representation to grass-type Pokemon, as well as the ancient pokeball design seen in the Pokemon Legends: Arceus announcement. Facially, her features were inspired by actress Minami Hamabe.
